Hi there!
Welcome to the official 'FTD Navigating the Cr*p Podcast' website. A podcast documenting my family's experience with Young Onset Frontotemporal Dementia.

About Me
Hi there! I'm Beth and welcome to the website for my podcast 'FTD Navigating the Cr*p'.I'm a 30 something year old living in Lancashire in the North West of England. I live with my husband and my two Cats, Luna & Jax. I love long lazy walks in the countryside, watching sitcoms from the 80s & 90s on repeat and ice cream, my goodness I can't get enough of the stuff! In February 2024 my wonderful mum was diagnosed with Young Onset Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) at just 65 years old. It was devastating. When we first received the diagnosis, I felt incredibly alone, and the thought of anyone else experiencing the same sense of isolation was heartbreaking. That's why I decided to create a podcast to share my family's story, in hope of helping others in similar situations feel less lonely.
Listen Now
For the last year, I've been sitting down with a friend and microphone to document everything that's happened on our dementia journey so far. Dementia doesn't just affect the person with the disease but everyone around them who loves them too.I discuss mum's behaviours and symptoms, the doctors appointments, the diagnosis and all of the thoughts, feelings and emotions that come with it.You can listen to 'FTD Navigating the Cr*p' now wherever you get your podcasts or by clicking the play icon below.
